Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Locums Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient coverage in Richmond, Virginia. Join a collaborative neurosurgery team delivering post-procedural care to adult and geriatric patients.
Schedule and Setting
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekend requirements
- 100% inpatient practice
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- EMR: Epic
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily post-procedural care, including inpatient rounding and ongoing management
- Coordinate treatment plans and communicate updates with patients and families
- Deliver patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-op care
- Collaborate closely with the neurosurgery team and an employed Neurosurgery NP
- Participate in call coverage as required
Qualifications
- Board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Active Virginia license required at time of application (candidates who must obtain a Virginia license will not be considered)
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
