Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule
- Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
- Locum position
Clinical Details
- Inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage
- Typical patient census: 10–18 patients per shift
- EMR: Cerner
- No labor/delivery coverage
- No circumcisions
Key Responsibilities
- Admit, manage, and discharge pediatric inpatients with acute and complex conditions
- Care for patients with pediatric subspecialty needs and coordinate with consulting services
- Perform inpatient procedures as indicated, including lumbar puncture and occasional internal jugular line placement
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- Board certified in Pediatrics
- Active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration
- Current PALS certification
- Experience managing pediatric subspecialty patients and performing inpatient procedures
