Locums OB/GYN Physician — Inpatient Rounding + Evening & Weekend Call in Richmond, VA

We’re looking for a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible OBGYN to provide locum inpatient coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This role centers on on-site inpatient rounding with evening and weekend call to support a busy obstetrics and gynecology service.

You’ll be onsite for weekday inpatient rounding and available for evening and weekend call coverage, managing an average patient census of about 11 per day. Daily responsibilities include comprehensive inpatient care for obstetric and gynecologic patients, assessment and management of complex cases, clear documentation in the EMR, and close collaboration with nursing staff, mid‑level providers, and other physicians to ensure seamless continuity of care.

To be successful you should be Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in OBGYN and either hold an active Virginia medical license or be eligible to obtain one. Prior experience in inpatient OBGYN care—including labor & delivery and gynecologic procedures—is required, and familiarity with eClinicalWorks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient) EMR systems is preferred.
