Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) is county-owned and has served the citizens of Johnson County immediately south of Indianapolis since 1947. With 125 staffed beds the hospital has a number of specialty programs. Among them are comprehensive cancer services, breast care center, peripheral vascular lab, interventional radiology, cardiovascular testing center, sleep center, wound care center, diabetes care program, spine surgery, pain management services, orthopedic and sports medicine services, ENT services, and critical and progressive care units on the JMH campus.

In 2022, Johnson Memorial Health became a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network — a select group of carefully vetted, independent healthcare organizations with special access to Mayo Clinic knowledge, resources, and expertise. Patients continue to benefit from Mayo Clinic and care network members working together to provide patients with the care they need, close to home, at no additional cost and with added peace of mind.

The hospital completed a $12.5 million expansion and modernization of the surgery unit in 2012.  In 2020, JMH opened a new $47 million expansion project that included a new Emergency Department and Outpatient Services building and a new Orthopedic and Rehabilitation building. In 2026, JMH opened a 29-bed inpatient behavior health hospital on the campus, providing a much-needed service for Johnson and surrounding counties.
