OB/GYN Physician — Full-Scope Obstetrics & Gynecology at Brown University (Providence, RI)

Join a well-established, collaborative women’s health team in Providence, RI, where you can practice full-scope obstetrics and gynecology in a supportive academic environment. This role offers strong clinical resources, experienced staff, access to subspecialty care, and abundant teaching and mentorship opportunities through Brown University. Our dynamic group manages over 1,700 deliveries each year and provides an ideal balance of clinical practice and academic engagement.

What you’ll find here

• A collegial team: seven experienced OB/GYN physicians, full-time certified nurse midwives, one Gynecologic Oncologist, one Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, and two hospitalists caring for a diverse patient population.
• Balanced clinical mix: roughly 50/50 obstetrics and gynecology, with protected administrative time and manageable call responsibilities.
• Academic involvement: opportunities to teach and mentor medical students and residents, participate in case review, and assist with C-sections alongside trainees.

Schedule and practice structure

• Four clinic days per week
• Half day of dedicated OR time weekly
• One full day of protected administrative time each week
• Call: 1:8 rotation, 12-hour shifts (excluding holidays)
• Easy access to subspecialty support and collaboration with colleagues

Birthing center and clinical resources

• Eleven-room birthing center with spacious private rooms and labor support amenities, including hydrotherapy tubs
• Lactation support services and a comprehensive postpartum support program
• Level II ultrasound, on-site radiology, and advanced cervical screening available

Compensation and benefits

• Competitive base salary range: $260,000–$300,000 plus incentives up to $50,000 annually
• Additional shift and call reimbursement available
• Four weeks paid time off, plus one week for CME and an allowance

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN program
• Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure
