Job Description
Seeking a Locum CRNA to provide anesthesia coverage at a Level III trauma hospital in Douglas, WY. This position combines inpatient, outpatient surgery, and Labor & Delivery cases with a manageable daily volume and flexible monthly scheduling.
Schedule
- Coverage: 2 weeks per month
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Typical hours: ~7:00 AM–1:00 PM (dependent on case volume)
- No additional call required
Practice setting and caseload
- Hospital-based, Level III Trauma
- Mix of inpatient, outpatient surgery, and L&D
- Average volume: 7–10 cases/day
- Patient population: primarily adults with light pediatric exposure
- No surgical patients under age 3 except L&D/neonatal cases
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for a broad range of surgical procedures
- Deliver general and local anesthesia; perform regional blocks and epidurals (required)
- Manage L&D anesthesia, including neonatal support as needed
- Monitor and manage patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Collaborate with surgeons, obstetrics, and clinical staff to maintain safe, high-quality care
Requirements
- CRNA certification
- Active Wyoming license or IMLC eligibility
- ACLS required (for conscious sedation privileges)
- PALS (AHA) required
- Demonstrated experience with epidurals, regional blocks, general anesthesia, and comfort with light pediatric/neonatal L&D cases
