Radiology Physicians — Chief of Radiology, Diagnostic, Breast Imaging & Interventional Radiologists (Brown University Health)

Brown University Health seeks board-certified or board-eligible radiology physicians to join a hospital-based practice serving southeastern Massachusetts, just outside Providence. Opportunities are available for four roles: Chief of Radiology (leadership), Diagnostic Radiologist, Breast Imaging Radiologist, and Interventional Radiologist.

Position summaries

• Chief of Radiology (leadership)

  • Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the radiology department while maintaining an active clinical practice.
  • Oversee growth initiatives, physician engagement, quality improvement, and service-line performance.
  • Participate in recruitment, budgeting, and cross-departmental coordination.

• Diagnostic Radiologist

  • Deliver comprehensive diagnostic imaging services across CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and radiography.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests and to participate in teaching with Brown University Health.

• Breast Imaging Radiologist

  • Provide screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary breast care team to deliver patient-centered care.

• Interventional Radiologist

  • Perform a full spectrum of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a procedure-focused practice.
  • Opportunities to expand services and contribute to program development and growth.

Compensation

• Chief of Radiology: $475,000–$550,000
• Diagnostic Radiologist: $475,000–$535,000
• Breast Imaging Radiologist: $475,000–$535,000
• Interventional Radiologist: $490,000–$550,000

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (IR certification/eligibility for Interventional role)
• Fellowship training or documented clinical interest in Breast Imaging or Interventional Radiology, as applicable
• Prior leadership experience preferred for the Chief role
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
