Chief of Radiology / Diagnostic, Breast Imaging & Interventional Radiologists — Brown University Health (RI)

Brown University Health is expanding its hospital-based radiology team just outside Providence, serving southeastern Massachusetts. We’re looking for talented, collaborative radiologists to join us in four important roles: a leadership position overseeing our radiology service, and physicians focused on diagnostic imaging, breast imaging, and interventional radiology. About the practice
Our group provides comprehensive, patient-centered imaging services in a collegial environment with strong ties to Brown University Health. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams, have opportunities for teaching and professional development, and contribute to program growth and quality improvement initiatives.

Role summaries

• Leadership role (Chief of Radiology)
  Lead the clinical, operational, and strategic direction of the department while maintaining an active clinical practice. You’ll guide physician engagement, drive growth initiatives, and oversee quality and safety across the radiology service line. Prior leadership experience is preferred.

• Diagnostic radiology
  Provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging across CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and X‑ray. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys a varied caseload, collaborative practice, and the ability to develop subspecialty interests and teaching involvement.

• Breast imaging
  Deliver full-spectrum breast imaging care, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary breast care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

• Interventional radiology
  Practice a broad range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a procedure-focused setting. There are strong opportunities to expand services and help grow the program.

Compensation & benefits

• Chief of Radiology (leadership): $475,000–$550,000
• Diagnostic & Breast Imaging Radiologist: $475,000–$535,000
• Interventional Radiologist: $490,000–$550,000

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (IR certification for Interventional role)
• Fellowship training or strong clinical interest in Breast Imaging or Interventional Radiology, as applicable
• Prior leadership experience preferred for the Chief role
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
