Locums Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner — Inpatient Richmond, VA (MonFri)

We’re looking for an experienced locum Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative neurosurgery team in Richmond, Virginia, providing inpatient post-procedural care for adult and geriatric patients.

This is a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM role with no weekend requirements, working 100% in the inpatient setting and documenting in Epic. You’ll be part of a team that includes an employed Neurosurgery NP and will work closely with surgeons and other clinical staff to ensure smooth, high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage daily post-procedural inpatient care and ongoing patient management
• Perform inpatient rounds and coordinate care plans
• Communicate treatment plans and updates to patients and families, and provide education
• Collaborate closely with the neurosurgery team and support continuity of care
• Participate in call coverage as needed

Minimum requirements:

• Board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Active Virginia license required at time of application (candidates who need to obtain a Virginia license will not be considered)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active DEA registration
