Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Locums Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative neurosurgery team and provide post-procedural care to adult and geriatric patients.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Weekend Requirements: None
- Setting: 100% inpatient
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Provide post-procedural daily patient care
- Perform inpatient rounding and ongoing patient management
- Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment plans and care
- Provide patient and family education
- Collaborate closely with the neurosurgery team
- Work alongside an employed Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner
- Participate in call coverage as required
Requirements
- Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Active Virginia license required at the time of submission
- Candidates needing to obtain a Virginia license will not be considered
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Active DEA required
