Job Description
We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to establish and grow an elective orthopedic and total joints practice in Williamson County, Illinois. You’ll have the chance to build a high-volume elective practice on a solid foundation—with strong system support, dedicated APP assistance, and a collaborative orthopedic team behind you.
What this role offers
- Lead and grow an elective orthopedic surgery practice with a primary focus on total joints and adult reconstruction.
- Dedicated OR block time available Monday–Friday to support efficient scheduling and predictable workflow.
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support assigned to your service.
- Hospitalist team handles most inpatient admissions, allowing you to focus on surgical care.
- Strong administrative and clinical infrastructure in place to help expand your practice.
- Limited acute orthopedic and fracture coverage (complex trauma cases are transferred to in-system orthopedic traumatology specialists).
- Real opportunity to shape and build a new orthopedic service line in the region.

Who we’re looking for
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges
- Interest in building and growing an elective orthopedic surgery practice
- Comfortable managing a limited amount of acute orthopedic and fracture care
Preferred qualifications
- Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Replacement
- Track record of developing referral networks and growing elective surgical volume
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care
