Locums Hospital Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Hospital Medicine Physician for an ongoing opportunity in Manchester, New Hampshire. This is a hospital-based position with flexible coverage needs across daytime, swing, and nocturnal shifts.

Position Highlights

• Hospital-based practice
• 300+ beds
• Daily hospital census: approximately 140–160
• Approximately 25–30 admissions per 24 hours
• Diverse adult patient population
• Open ICU
• Average physician workload: 18–22 patients per day
• No procedures required
• No ventilator management required
• No call responsibilities

Shift Options

• Day Hospitalist: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Swing Shift: 5:00 PM–1:00 AM, with potential extension to 5:00 AM as volume increases
• Nocturnist: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage may be included based on scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine care.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients.
• Perform daily rounds and develop treatment plans.
• Manage admissions and coordinate patient care throughout hospitalization.
• Round in the open ICU as needed.
• Collaborate with consulting specialists and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active New Hampshire medical license
• DEA registration
• BLS certification
