OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician — Austin, TX (Hospitalist-Only, No Clinic)

Join a hospital-based obstetrics team in Austin, TX as a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN hospitalist. This acute-care position provides immediate in-house OB/GYN coverage for obstetric emergencies with no clinic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-hospital management of obstetric patients and emergencies
• Collaborate with labor & delivery multidisciplinary team
• Participate in quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives
• Work scheduled hospitalist shifts; no office management or external on-call duties

Schedule

• Hospitalist-only role
• Typically 7–9 24-hour shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts

Compensation & benefits

• Base annual compensation: $300,000–$340,000

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Current DEA registration
