Lead Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — Site Lead (Augusta, ME)

Full-time lead clinical provider position in Augusta, ME for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver urgent care services and lead on-site clinical staff. This role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care, clinical oversight, mentorship of new graduates, and ensuring efficient, safe operations in a busy urgent care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urgent care to patients of all ages.
• Serve as clinical leader for on-site clinical staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor, support, and precept new graduate NPs/PAs and allied health professionals.
• Promote evidence-based practice and maintain high clinical standards.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient safety, and operational efficiency; coordinate with site administration as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Certification by a recognized NP or PA certifying body.
• Active Maine license or eligibility for Maine licensure.
• Unrestricted DEA registration and ability to maintain it.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience preferred.
