Locum Tenens Family Medicine Physician — Team-Based Outpatient Practice (Tacoma/Seattle)

Join a team-based primary care practice in Seattle seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens engagement. This role emphasizes preventive, relationship-centered, whole-person care within a collaborative environment.

Compensation: $100 per hour plus travel

Key features

• Panel size: 10–15 patients per day
• Longer visit times: ~20–60 minutes
• Team-based model with dedicated clinical support and health coaches
• Emphasis on preventive and value-based care
• No inpatient duties

Primary responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient family medicine care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Provide preventive services, screenings, and health maintenance
• Create individualized, whole-person treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals as needed
• Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Collaborate closely with health coaches and the care team to optimize outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and apply appropriate medical coding practices, including Medicare Advantage and HCC coding

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency
• Board certified (ABFM, ABIM, or AOA)
• Minimum 3 years of primary care experience
• Current, unrestricted Washington medical license or ability to obtain
• Current DEA registration
• Experience in a team-based primary care setting
• EMR experience preferred
