Job Description
A healthcare system in Omaha, NE is seeking a locum cardiology physician to provide inpatient and outpatient general cardiology coverage in a collaborative, well-supported practice.
Schedule and Setting
- Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Potential night call: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM (limited, as needed)
- EMR: Epic
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska (serves surrounding region)
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform and interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (ECHO) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
- Document all patient encounters and care plans in Epic
- Participate in night-call coverage when scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified in Cardiology
- Active Nebraska and Iowa medical licenses
- Current DEA registration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Demonstrated experience in general cardiology, including ECHO and TEE
