Emergency Medicine Physician — Boston Area, High Pay, Flexible Night-Shift Schedule

Join a well-established community hospital just south of Boston as a Board Eligible/Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician. Become part of a collaborative, physician-led Emergency Department offering strong specialty support, flexible scheduling, and outstanding earning potential.

Compensation and Schedule

• Base rate: $230/hour plus productivity and quality bonuses
• Annual bonus potential: up to $40,000
• Night differential: $325 per night shift
• Full-time: 15 shifts per month, primarily 8.5-hour shifts
• Physician-driven scheduling with flexible options

Department Overview

• ~60,000 ED visits annually
• Daily coverage: 84 physician hours and 36 APP hours
• Overnight staffing: two physicians from 1:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Robust specialty support: Surgery, Anesthesia, Obstetrics, Neonatology, 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab, and dedicated Hospitalist services

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of emergency conditions
• Perform required emergency procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and consultants to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ATLS required until board certification is achieved
