OB/GYN Hospitalist — Birmingham/Mobile, AL | $300340K, Flexible Schedule & No Call

We are seeking experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians to join a collaborative hospitalist team focused on delivering consistent, expert care to every pregnant patient who presents to the hospital. This role emphasizes patient safety and satisfaction while offering a supportive practice environment and excellent work/life balance.

What you’ll do

• Provide high-quality inpatient OB/GYN care and manage obstetric emergencies as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with local obstetricians, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to optimize clinical pathways and patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement, case review, and education initiatives to advance care delivery

Position highlights

• Competitive salary range: $300,000–$340,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package
• Full-time hospitalist role with flexible scheduling: typically 7–9 24-hour shifts per month (about 21 days off monthly)
• No office management responsibilities and no traditional on-call duties

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Current Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric emergencies and provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
• Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation, and commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
