Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Bradenton, FL (FSED & Main ED)

We’re looking for Emergency Medicine physicians to provide locum tenens coverage at our main hospital and at a brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) that opened in summer 2024 in Bradenton, Florida. This is a chance to work in newly launched, state-of-the-art facilities delivering high-quality emergency care to Manatee County and nearby communities. Locum providers must have ATLS at minimum and must be emergency medicine trained and boarded, as you’ll be working alongside EM residents at the main hospital.

Start date is summer 2024 (exact date TBD) with roughly two months for credentialing. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4–6 shifts per month. The department provides 24-hour physician coverage daily with flexible scheduling—both day and night shifts are available.

The FSED has 12 fully equipped exam rooms and advanced onsite imaging including CT, ultrasound, and radiology support. We use Meditech P-doc with M-Modal dictation for charting, and any patients needing admission are smoothly transferred to the main hospital for inpatient care. Expected annual volume is over 8,000 patient visits.

Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, active Florida medical license, DEA certification, ATLS, and willingness to work at least 4–6 shifts per month.
