Job Description

Seeking a Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical leadership and deliver patient-centered care across skilled nursing facilities in Jesup, Georgia. Part-time role with flexible scheduling, partnering with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients.

Locations

  • Primary: Jesup, GA
  • Additional facility opportunities: Bainbridge, GA; Twin City, GA
  • Nationwide opportunities available in IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attending physician coverage at assigned skilled nursing facilities (typically 1–2 days per facility per week)
  • Oversee and collaborate with NPs/PAs for assessments, treatment plans, and care coordination
  • Conduct 18–25 patient visits per day
  • Serve as clinical leader for facility-based medical care, documentation, and quality initiatives
  • No overnight shifts or on-call responsibilities

Schedule

  • Part-time; flexible start/end times

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply
