Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician — Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities)

This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, collaborative support from experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, and the chance to provide clinical leadership and hands-on care to post-acute and long-term patients.

Where you’ll practice
Primary local opportunities include Carlinville, Casey, Coulterville, Flanagan, Galesburg, Macomb, Marshall, Mascoutah, Paris, and Springfield, Illinois. Additional openings are available nationwide in Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

What the role looks like

• Part-time coverage of skilled nursing facilities, typically 1–2 days per week per site
• No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, and no on-call responsibilities
• Expect to see roughly 18–25 patients per day
• Work alongside NPs and PAs who provide day-to-day care while you offer attending oversight and clinical direction
• New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are welcome to apply

Who we’re looking for

• MD or DO with an active unrestricted U.S. medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
• A commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
