Locum Neurosurgeon (Trauma/Acute Care) — Corpus Christi, TX (Per Diem 24-hr Shifts)

We are seeking a Locum Board-Certified or Board-Eligible neurosurgeon to provide trauma and acute care coverage with an elective caseload at an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center on the South Texas Gulf Coast. The role offers a flexible block schedule, strong APP support, modern facilities, and the opportunity to enjoy a coastal lifestyle.

Position highlights

• Primary focus on trauma and acute care neurosurgery with elective cases
• ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center
• Full-time, experienced Advanced Practice Provider support
• Flexible per-diem engagement: 4–7 twelve-hour shifts per month (24-hour coverage blocks); no additional call required

Practice setting

• New, state-of-the-art hospital with advanced ER, OR, and inpatient capabilities
• Accredited Stroke Center with robust subspecialty support
• Collaborative, team-based clinical environment

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide trauma and acute inpatient neurosurgical coverage
• Manage emergency neurosurgical cases and admissions
• Perform elective neurosurgical procedures as appropriate
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and APPs
• Maintain timely, high-quality documentation and patient care standards

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Active Texas medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current experience in trauma neurosurgery

Compensation & benefits

• $4,600 per shift
