Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative Physician Clinical Lead to join our growing team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role blends hands-on patient care with meaningful leadership: about 70–80% of your time will be spent seeing patients, while the rest will be devoted to mentoring providers, supporting operations, and helping shape clinical practice across our sites.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain an active outpatient practice and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day support to providers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Partner with Practice Managers and operations teams to improve workflows, onboarding, and provider readiness in a multi-site ambulatory setting.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts, clinical documentation reviews, and development or refinement of clinical protocols.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing education for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and new physicians.
  • Serve as a resource for scope-of-practice questions, compliance, and EHR/documentation best practices.
  • Participate in provider recruitment, credentialing support, and initiatives that promote clinical excellence and patient experience.

Compensation & benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus leadership differential, productivity bonuses, and performance incentives—total annual compensation expected to exceed $300,000+.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • CME allowance and paid CME time.
  • Malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
  • Reimbursement for professional licensing, credentialing, and dues.
  • Leadership development and advancement opportunities.
  • Employee wellness and assistance programs.

What we’re looking for

  • Current, unrestricted MD or DO license in Georgia and active DEA registration.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (preferred) or a related primary care specialty.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in primary care, family medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, or a similar ambulatory setting.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a track record of supporting providers and promoting clinical quality.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Experience with provider onboarding, education, or peer mentoring.
  • Familiarity with ambulatory clinical protocols, scope-of-practice requirements, and compliance expectations.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, documentation standards, and quality/performance reporting.
  • Prior experience in a physician leadership role (Clinical Lead, Associate Medical Director, etc.) and comfortable collaborating with Practice Managers across multiple sites.
  • Background in quality improvement, clinical documentation review, and protocol development is strongly preferred.

If you enjoy keeping one foot in clinical practice while helping shape and elevate care delivery across a growing organization, this role offers a balanced leadership opportunity in a supportive, team-oriented environment in Atlanta.
