Job Description
A healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This is an excellent assignment for a physician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages in a well-supported clinic environment with no call responsibilities.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- No night call
- Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult and pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform routine wellness visits and preventive care
- Conduct gynecologic exams, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
- Interpret EKGs
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up as needed
- Accurately document patient encounters in Cerner EHR
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Active Michigan medical license
- Previous Family Medicine experience required
- Must be local to Michigan
- Strong outpatient clinical and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
