Locums Neurosurgeon — Carbondale, IL (PRN; $4,500/Shift)

Seeking a Locums Neurosurgeon to join a growing neurosurgical program in Carbondale, IL. This is a PRN (as-needed) opportunity with consistent full‑time-equivalent shifts available, providing high-quality surgical and clinical care to the community.

Schedule & compensation

• PRN / as-needed scheduling
• $4,500 per shift

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care
• Perform a broad range of neurosurgical procedures with precision and clinical excellence
• Manage perioperative care and postoperative follow-up
• Participate in assigned call coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain current knowledge of neurosurgical best practices and standards
• Contribute to education of medical students and residents as needed

Required qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery residency
• Board certified in Neurosurgery
• Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
• Demonstrated proficiency across a wide range of neurosurgical procedures
