Locums Adult & Pediatric ENT Physician Weekend OnCall, No Clinic (Worcester, MA)

A well-established healthcare system in Worcester, MA is seeking a Locum ENT physician to provide weekend adult and pediatric coverage for a high-volume hospital-based otolaryngology service. This is a 100% on-call role with no clinic duties, covering two weekends per month. The initial assignment runs August–September 2026 with potential for extension.

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide weekend ENT call for adult and pediatric patients
• Triage, evaluate, and manage ENT emergencies and inpatient consultations
• Provide operative and bedside procedural coverage as indicated
• Respond to trauma-related ENT cases and collaborate in trauma care
• Work collaboratively with emergency medicine, hospitalists, surgeons, and residents
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

Required procedural skills

• Cerumen removal
• Diagnostic laryngoscopy and nasal endoscopy
• Excision of tongue fold lesions
• Emergency ENT evaluations/interventions
• Trauma-related ENT management

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients; trauma experience required
• Active Massachusetts medical license required at time of hire (time-sensitive coverage)
• DEA registration required
