Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant - Per Diem (Stockbridge, GA)

Join our trauma surgery team in Stockbridge, GA as a full-time Physician Assistant. You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to trauma patients across the continuum—initial assessment, operative and perioperative management, critical care, and discharge planning—while collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive trauma evaluations: history, physical exam, diagnostic interpretation, and formulation of treatment plans.
• Assist in trauma surgeries: pre-operative preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative management.
• Participate in emergency trauma response and bedside procedures for critically ill or injured patients.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, specialty services, and allied health professionals; participate in rounds and case conferences.
• Contribute to development and adherence to trauma protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide clear education and discharge instructions to patients and families about injuries, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (e.g., NCCPA).
• Current Georgia PA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Demonstrated experience in trauma care and operative/surgical settings preferred.
