Job Description
We’re looking for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our care team and deliver practical, evidence-based primary care to adults and families in Tacoma. You’ll work closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team to create personalized care plans, support preventive and chronic disease management, and help lead clinical initiatives that improve care and patient experience.
What you’ll do
- Care for roughly 10–15 patients per day, focusing on prevention, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and disease/case management.
- Collaborate with patients and the care team—including an onsite Whole Health Coach—to build biopsychosocial care plans that respect each patient’s background and goals.
- Provide comprehensive primary care under the medical home model: take thorough histories, perform appropriate physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and use onsite lab and pharmacy resources for convenience.
- Identify population needs and work with teammates to increase participation in annual whole health evaluations, health coaching, and other wellness activities.
- Serve as a clinical leader by participating in team meetings, communicating proactively, prioritizing initiatives, contributing to process improvement, and supporting change management efforts.
- Rotate with other regional providers to provide after-hours coverage as needed.
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary: $150,000
- Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage with an HSA pre-tax savings option
- Medical education support: two weeks paid plus a $2,500 stipend
- Matching 401(k) retirement program
- Generous paid time off and paid holidays
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
What we’re looking for
- NP or PA board certification in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Current, unrestricted ARNP or PA license and valid DEA number
- 3–5 years of primary care experience
- At least 2 years of experience in case management with a focus on prevention and population health
- Comfort working in EMR systems (NextGen preferred)
- Experience with coding and documentation, including Medicare Advantage and HCC
If you’re a collaborative clinician who wants to blend hands-on patient care with team-based leadership and population health work, we’d love to hear from you.
