Urgent Care NP/PA Full-Time Back Bay, Boston | 36-hr Weeks, Benefits, 7-Day Clinic

Full-time urgent care NP or PA needed for a Back Bay, Boston clinic. Reports to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician. Centers open daily: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–8:00 PM; weekends 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Full-time (36-hour) and part-time schedules available. Full benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA license (MA)
• Urgent care experience required
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented, adaptable, able to multitask and work independently

Core responsibilities

• Triage newly registered patients and prioritize care
• Room patients and ensure exam rooms are prepared according to presenting complaint
• Collect and process biological specimens; perform point-of-care testing
• Provide wound care and perform ECGs when indicated
• Assist physicians with patient care as needed
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned after each patient encounter and sterilize instruments
• Collaborate with the Center Administrator to monitor and order medical supplies
• Work with nursing staff to conduct patient callbacks and support patient satisfaction efforts
• Support the Medical Director in laboratory operations: running controls, proficiency testing, and troubleshooting instruments
• Participate in staff interviews and scheduling to ensure coverage across hours of operation
• Ensure center compliance with medical protocols
• Other duties as assigned
