Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Phoenix, AZ

A physician-led organization in Phoenix, Arizona seeks a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a team dedicated to developing and supporting high-performing, hospital-based surgical teams nationwide. Practice environment

• Support a high-acuity trauma center alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team
• Collaborative care with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine colleagues
• Strong administrative and clinical support to optimize workflow and patient outcomes

Schedule

• 183 annual 24-hour shifts, scheduled in blocks
• 7-day block rotations with built-in recovery time between rotations
• Predictable, structured call model designed to support work-life balance

Key responsibilities

• Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
• Participate in trauma call coverage and coordinate inpatient care
• Manage complex fractures, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
• Balance operative caseload, inpatient management, and follow-up clinic responsibilities
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
• Experience with high-acuity trauma cases preferred
• Expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture care strongly preferred
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure and able to obtain/maintain hospital privileges
