Locums Orthopedic Surgeon — Level III Trauma Call (Pueblo, CO) — $3,400/day, 24-hr onsite response

Location: Pueblo, Colorado (Level III Trauma Center)
Compensation: $3,400 per day
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 AM); weekend coverage required
Setting: Hospital/Trauma Call
EMR: Epic
Trauma Response: Must be able to be onsite within 30 minutes per Colorado Level III Trauma Center requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour orthopedic call coverage for trauma and emergency patients.
• Evaluate, stabilize, and manage orthopedic trauma and emergency surgical cases.
• Respond to trauma activations and orthopedic consultations.
• Perform procedures and surgeries within the scope of a general orthopedic surgeon.
• Coordinate care with emergency medicine, trauma, surgical, and hospital teams.
• Document care in Epic in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (required).
• Active Colorado medical license or IMLC with LOQ at time of submission.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to be onsite within 30 minutes when called.
• Experience in general orthopedic surgery and trauma.
