Job Description
Join a collaborative Trauma Surgery team in Denver, CO, supporting high-acuity inpatient and acute surgical care at a Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital. Work closely with experienced trauma surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to expand skills in ICU procedures and OR assistance.

- Full-time, permanent role; 147 twelve-hour shifts annually
- Primarily inpatient trauma and acute surgical coverage with ~3–4 outpatient clinic hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for trauma and acute surgical patients
- Assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor clinical progress
- Manage high-acuity trauma and surgical cases in collaboration with surgeons and residents
- Perform procedures within scope of practice and hospital privileges; assist in the OR as needed
- Participate in rounds, patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide limited outpatient clinic coverage as scheduled
Requirements
- Active Colorado NP or PA license, or ability to obtain
- 1–2 years of Trauma Surgery experience preferred
