Job Description
Locum tenens Emergency Medicine physician needed for coverage in Seattle, WA. Join an established emergency medicine team with multiple shift options and required weekend coverage. No on-call responsibilities.
Schedule
- 9-hour shifts (varied per facility needs):
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage required
- No on-call requirements
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting to the ED
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and emergent conditions
- Perform emergency procedures and interventions within scope of practice
- Stabilize and manage critically ill or injured patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
- Coordinate care and communicate with nursing staff, consultants, and other team members
- Determine appropriate disposition: admit, discharge, or transfer
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
Requirements
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine
- Active Washington medical license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Current DEA registration
