Profession/Specialty:Emergency Medicine

Location:New York, New York, United States

Job Type:Full-time, In-person, Permanent

Job Description

Keep NYC as home and earn at a higher travel rate. Love living in New York City, but ready for your emergency medicine career to offer greater earning potential?

TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate, adaptable emergency medicine physician to join our Western New York and Buffalo HIT Team. This regional travel position gives you the opportunity to maintain your NYC home base while earning the higher compensation associated with a travel role, all without leaving New York state.

You'll travel regionally to provide emergency medicine coverage at six hospitals across Western and Central New York:
  • Mercy Hospital of Buffalo
  • Mercy Ambulatory Care Center
  • Sisters of Charity Hospital
  • Sisters of Charity Hospital St. Joseph Campus
  • Kenmore Mercy Hospital
  • Rome Hospital
You've worked hard to build your emergency medicine career. This is your opportunity to make that experience work harder for you. Instead of limiting your practice to one hospital or one emergency department, the HIT Team allows you to bring your skills to multiple clinical environments while benefiting from the enhanced earning potential of regional travel.

Work where your expertise is needed, experience a refreshing change from the intensity of city practice, and return home to the energy and lifestyle you love in New York City.

Why Join the HIT Team?
  • Earn at the higher rate offered for this regional travel position; travel included
  • Maintain New York City as your home base
  • Practice across six distinct emergency department settings
  • Add flexibility and variety to your clinical career
  • Care for diverse patient populations across New York state
  • Build relationships with experienced clinical teams throughout the region
  • Strengthen your skills by adapting to different hospital environments
  • Access TeamHealths national network, clinical resources, and organizational support
From Buffalo's revitalized waterfront and Niagara Falls to the scenic Mohawk Valley, this position offers a chance to see more of New York while increasing your professional and financial opportunities. This role is ideal for an emergency medicine physician who is comfortable traveling, adapts quickly, values teamwork, and wants more from each clinical shift. If you are a board-certified or board-eligible EM physician or a primary care trained physician with extensive EM experience, apply today to begin your next great adventure!

Competitive compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $280 to $280 hourly. This is an independent contractor position.
