The Role:

• Location: Prestonsburg, KY 41653
• Assignment duration: Ongoing
• Shift Type: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 05:00) + Call
• Call: Shared with the other provider — offsite response within 30 minutes for emergency consultation; routine response within 12 hours. Provider is called in approximately 1-2x/week.
• Cases: General GI procedures including Upper Endoscopies (EGD) and Colonoscopies. Advanced procedures include ERCP (mid-level / moderate complexity). Average procedures per day: 12-14. Specialty procedures performed include esophageal/duodenal/luminal stent placement, argon plasma coagulation, biopsies, colonoscopy with or without polypectomy, diagnostic and therapeutic EGD, enteral alimentation, esophageal dilation, foreign body removal via EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring, non-variceal hemostasis (upper and lower), percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), and ERCP.
• Site Charting System: Meditech
• Support Staff: APP support provided
• Credentialing Timeframe: ~3 months
