Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist needed in Oklahoma

Target start date: September 2026, ongoing for at last 6 months

Privs: 90 days

Ideal Availability: Mon-Fri, 10 hr shifts. Minimum of 5 shifts per month.

Requirements/Licensure/Certs: OK license, OBNDD and DEA. Candidate must have completed PEDS fellowship and also PEDS cardiac experience

Job Details: pediatric cardiac anesthesia team provides perioperative care for more than 500 surgical cases annually, including VAD and heart transplant. Group staffs all cardiac catheterization and EP cases and consult on all patients with heart disease presenting for non-cardiac procedures.

• Cases: Adults, infants, children, and teens with congenital or acquired heart conditions, managing complex physiology before, during and after procedures like congenital heart repairs, transplants and interventional cardiology, requiring expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, resuscitation and working within a multidisciplinary team often involving call and supervising trainees.
• Patient volume for specified department: ~ 300 cardiac bypass cases per year. ~ 500 total cardiac surgical cases per year. ~ 200 cardiac catheterizations per year. ~ 800 total anesthetics provided by our group per year.
• Shifts:  5 x 10s with cases beginning at 7:30 am, ending when all cases are complete and all patients are stable. In general, scheduled cardiac surgery is completed by 3-4 pm whereas the catheterization lab may finish by 5.
• Call requirements: Pager Call is required, combination of weeknight and 24 hour call (on weekends).

T&L: Client provides travel & lodging
