Job Description
Brown Medicine seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible general nephrologist with interest in academic medicine and clinical research to join the Clinician Educator Track at Brown University in Providence, RI. Full-time appointment to an established academic nephrology faculty team.
Clinical responsibilities
- Inpatient: consult service coverage shared among faculty at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, VA Medical Center, and Kent Hospital.
- Outpatient: 2–4 clinic sessions per week covering home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, glomerulonephritis, and other specialty nephrology services.
- Dialysis: approximately 1–3 outpatient dialysis coverage shifts per week.
Call
- Overnight call shared among faculty.
- Approximately 8 weekend calls per year.
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary $180,000–$260,000 (commensurate with experience).

Qualifications
- MD or DO.
- Completion of an accredited nephrology fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology.
- Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure.
- Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity.
