Locum Tenens Vascular Surgeon — Level I Trauma Center (Youngstown, OH)

Join a Level I Trauma Center in Youngstown, Ohio, as a Board-Certified Vascular Surgery physician providing locum coverage. This role delivers a predictable monthly commitment—one consecutive five-day block each month—covering inpatient and emergency department responsibilities with both phone/beeper and in-house call.

Position highlights

• Start: January 2027
• Coverage: One consecutive 5-day period per month (24-hour coverage)
• Call: Yes — beeper/phone and in-house; 1:5 call ratio; average callback ~1 hour
• Schedule: Five consecutive days including call; may include weekends
• Patient population: 100% adult and geriatric
• Practice setting: 100% inpatient; average daily census 10–15 patients
• Trauma level: Level I Trauma Center
• EMR: Epic

Core responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient vascular surgery care, including evaluation, operative and non-operative management
• Perform regular inpatient rounding and coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Respond to emergency department consultations and manage urgent/emergent vascular conditions
• Serve 24-hour call coverage for the vascular service and oversee patient management across inpatient units

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery; fellowship trained
• Active Ohio medical license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
