Lead Advanced Practice Clinician in Augusta, GA

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced facility lead advanced practice clinician to join our established hospital medicine team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who is passionate about hospital medicine, clinical excellence, and team development.

As the facility lead APC, you will serve as a key clinical and operational leader, collaborating closely with physician leadership, hospital administration, and TeamHealth operational partners to support quality patient care and a high-performing APC team. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a respected hospital medicine program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the hospital medicine service
• Serve as the primary APC leader for the facility
• Assist with APC recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention efforts
• Support clinical quality, patient experience, and operational performance initiatives
• Facilitate communication between APCs, physicians, hospital leadership, and TeamHealth
• Participate in department meetings, committee work, and leadership discussions
• Ensure adherence to clinical and organizational standards

Qualifications

• NP or PA with current Georgia licensure or ability to obtain
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital medicine, inpatient, or acute care experience preferred
• Prior leadership, charge, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
