Locum Tenens Inpatient Psychiatrist - 7 On / 7 Off

We are seeking full-time Locum Tenens Psychiatrists to provide inpatient psychiatric coverage in Wisconsin. This is an onsite inpatient psychiatry position offering a consistent 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.

Overview

• Inpatient Behavioral Health setting
• 2 Psychiatry on-site openings
• Must be able to commit to a 7-on / 7-off schedule
• Day Coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, in-house
• Night Coverage: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, call-only
• Approximately 10–15 patients per clinical day, ages 5+
• Census includes follow-ups, admissions, and discharges
• Actual volume may vary based on patient acuity, admissions, discharges, staffing, and other clinical responsibilities

Responsibilities

The locum psychiatrist will provide timely, clinically appropriate psychiatric evaluation and management for an assigned inpatient Behavioral Health census, including:

• Routine inpatient psychiatric follow-up evaluations
• New patient admissions and psychiatric evaluations
• Discharges and related documentation
• Ongoing assessment and treatment planning
• Management of patients based on acuity and clinical needs
• Completion of required evaluations and documentation within applicable hospital and regulatory timeframes

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry required
• Fellowship training required for providers who wish to work on the Adolescent Unit
• Must be comfortable providing inpatient psychiatric care
