Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity with flexible locum coverage with a broad procedural mix and no diagnostic reading responsibilities.
Overview
- 6-month 1099 locum assignment with option to extend
- Flexible schedule; preference for 7 shifts in a row
- 9 hours restricted on site
- 15 hours of unrestricted call
- No diagnostic radiology reads
- Must have completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in IR or have sufficient experience to qualify for requested procedures
Procedures
Angiography & Venography
- Diagnostic and interventional peripheral and visceral angiography/venography
Angioplasty & Stenting
- Balloon angioplasty
- Drug-coated balloon angioplasty
- Cutting balloon angioplasty
- Peripheral, venous, arterial, carotid, iliac, SFA, and other stent placements
Thrombectomy & Thrombolysis
- Peripheral thrombectomy/thrombolysis
- Pulmonary embolism interventions
- DVT interventions
- Stroke interventions
- Dialysis graft thrombectomy/thrombolysis
Embolization
- Uterine artery embolization (UAE)
- GI bleed embolization
- TIPS and portal interventions
- Tumor embolization
Other Interventional Procedures
- IVC filter placement and retrieval
- Image-guided biopsies, including liver, lung, kidney, and bone
- Abscess drainage
- Biliary drainage and stenting
- Nephrostomy tube placement
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
