Interventional Radiologist 1099 Locum Assignment

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity with flexible locum coverage with a broad procedural mix and no diagnostic reading responsibilities.

Overview

  • 6-month 1099 locum assignment with option to extend
  • Flexible schedule; preference for 7 shifts in a row
  • 9 hours restricted on site
  • 15 hours of unrestricted call
  • No diagnostic radiology reads
  • Must have completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in IR or have sufficient experience to qualify for requested procedures

Procedures

Angiography & Venography

  • Diagnostic and interventional peripheral and visceral angiography/venography

Angioplasty & Stenting

  • Balloon angioplasty
  • Drug-coated balloon angioplasty
  • Cutting balloon angioplasty
  • Peripheral, venous, arterial, carotid, iliac, SFA, and other stent placements

Thrombectomy & Thrombolysis

  • Peripheral thrombectomy/thrombolysis
  • Pulmonary embolism interventions
  • DVT interventions
  • Stroke interventions
  • Dialysis graft thrombectomy/thrombolysis

Embolization

  • Uterine artery embolization (UAE)
  • GI bleed embolization
  • TIPS and portal interventions
  • Tumor embolization

Other Interventional Procedures

  • IVC filter placement and retrieval
  • Image-guided biopsies, including liver, lung, kidney, and bone
  • Abscess drainage
  • Biliary drainage and stenting
  • Nephrostomy tube placement
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
