Associate Medical Director (PMR)

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to serve as Associate Medical Director for our inpatient rehabilitation unit at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician leader who desires a blend of clinical practice and administrative leadership while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

 

Position Highlights

• Inpatient rehabilitation-focused practice

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and hospital leadership

• Participate in quality improvement, program development, and physician engagement initiatives

• Shared call responsibilities

 

Physician Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

• Eligible for California medical licensure

• Demonstrated interest in leadership, quality, and program development

• Previous Medical Director or leadership experience preferred but not required

• New graduates with strong leadership interests are encouraged to apply

 

About the Rehabilitation Unit

The Henry Mayo inpatient rehabilitation is a 19-bed unit that provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation services for patients recovering from:

• Stroke

• Brain injury

• Spinal cord injury

• Neurologic disorders

• Orthopedic conditions

• Complex medical and functional impairments

The rehabilitation team includes physiatrists, rehabilitation nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other specialized rehabilitation professionals dedicated to restoring function and maximizing independence.
