Job Description

Tenet Healthcare and The Hospitals of Providence – Transmountain Campus is actively seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join an established practice.

Highlights:

  • Typical work schedule includes 7 half-days of clinic per week and providing consultations/clinical services in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • No call
  • Daily patient census: 8–10 patients per half-day of clinic and 3-5 inpatient consults per week
  • Academic responsibilities include supervising residents and participating in teaching activities for medical students and residents
  • Scholarly activities include at least one peer reviewed manuscript per year and submission of abstracts or posters to national meetings

Position Highlights

  • Specialty: Vascular Surgery — joining an established group practice
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with 1–2 dedicated surgical days per week
  • Call: 1:4 rotation, with vascular coverage adjusted based on volume and surgical load
  • Patient Volume: 10–15 patients per clinic day; 8–10 procedures per week
  • Patient Mix: Majority outpatient surgical cases with inpatient consult coverage as needed
  • Practice Setting: 500-bed academic-level community hospital with Joint Commission PVD designation and Center of Excellence designation for weight loss surgery
  • Billing & Coding: Handled entirely in-house — no administrative burden on the physician

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
  • Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
