Position Highlights
Employed Surgical Oncologist position with the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center
Growth opportunity within an established cancer program and expanding market
Practice located on the hospital campus for convenient access to surgical and oncology resources
Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Balanced 50/50 split between outpatient clinic and procedural/operative responsibilities
Dedicated focus on surgical oncology patients within a multidisciplinary cancer care environment
Approximately 10 new referrals per week with significant growth potential
Call responsibilities limited to management of your own patients
Collaborative multidisciplinary support team available to providers
Hospital privileges at Desert Regional Medical Center
Opportunity to mentor and interact with general surgery residents who may shadow the practice
Residents and fellows encouraged to apply
Ideal start date approximately 90 days following signed agreement

Candidate Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in General Surgery or Surgical Oncology, or Board Eligible if newly trained
Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology required
Eligible for California medical licensure
Strong commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
