Locum Elective Orthopedic Surgeon — Total Joints / Adult Reconstruction (Williamson County, IL)

Locum orthopedic surgeon needed in Williamson County, Illinois to establish and grow an elective orthopedic and total joint practice within an established health system.

Practice details

• Primary focus: elective orthopedic surgery with emphasis on total joints and adult reconstruction
• Dedicated OR block time available Monday–Friday
• Dedicated advanced practice provider (APP) support
• Hospitalist team manages most inpatient admissions
• Limited acute orthopedic and fracture coverage required; complex trauma managed by in-system orthopedic trauma specialists
• Established administrative and clinical infrastructure to support growth
• Opportunity to develop and expand a new orthopedic service line and referral network

Minimum requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges
• Comfortable managing a limited volume of acute orthopedic and fracture care
• Interest in building and growing an elective orthopedic practice

Preferred

• Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Replacement
• Experience developing referral networks and increasing elective surgical volume
• Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care
