Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Fellowship-Trained, Fly-In Shifts, $4,500/Shift (Houston, TX)

Join a collaborative, multi-specialty team just outside Houston as a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon. You’ll work within a surgicalist model to provide acute trauma coverage, help drive excellent patient outcomes, and support the growth of colleagues and trainees.

What you’ll do

• Deliver comprehensive orthopedic trauma care across the Emergency Department, operating room, and inpatient units.
• Maintain a prompt response time (within 30 minutes) for trauma activations to ensure timely, expert care.
• Work closely with trauma surgery, acute care, anesthesia, rehab, and other cross-disciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Take part in surgical decision-making and lead or support performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Mentor and supervise mid-level providers and trainees, promoting education and clinical excellence.
• Contribute to compliance, protocol development, and other performance-related initiatives.

Qualifications we’re looking for

• MD or DO with completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active Texas medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong technical skills in acute orthopedic trauma, including complex fracture management.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
