Locums CRNA — Independent Practice, Outpatient-Focused, 1:3 Call (Clare/Gladwin/West Branch, MI)

We’re looking for a Locums CRNA to float between Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, Michigan, covering a mix of outpatient and inpatient cases in an independent practice model. The work is largely bread-and-butter anesthesia with a supportive rural team and a manageable call schedule centered in Clare.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Typical shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Call

• Call primarily based in Clare
• 1:3 rotation
• 1-hour response time for Clare
• No OB call
• Weeknight call coverage until 11:00 PM
• Weekend call coverage from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Expect 1–2 holidays per year

Practice setting

• Independent CRNA model
• Roughly 80–90% outpatient, 10–20% inpatient
• EMR: Epic

Case mix & procedures

• General anesthesia (bread-and-butter cases)
• MAC cases
• Scopes/GI (GI cases performed at Gladwin only)
• Laparoscopic abdominal procedures
• Ophthalmology (cataracts)
• Podiatry (about 4 days/month)
• Orthopedics (about ½ day/month; includes blocks)
• Vascular cases occasionally (≈1 day/month)
• Cardiology support (TEEs, cardioversions)
• Regional anesthesia: blocks are optional; support and refreshers available if needed
• Ward and ED support: IV access, airway management, and anesthesia expertise as required

Requirements

• Active Michigan license
• ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Independent practice experience preferred
