Location: Northampton, Massachusetts (hospital-based)
Schedule
- Call-only coverage: approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks
- Weekend call: Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:00 AM
- 24-hour overnight coverage as applicable: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Compensation
- $2,800–$3,000 per day
Clinical Role
- Provide inpatient GI consultation and management for adult patients
- Serve as specialty backup to hospitalist team (hospitalists take first call)
- Round on patients as needed
- Perform endoscopic procedures (upper and lower endoscopy, colonoscopy)
- Scope: bread-and-butter gastroenterology in an acute care setting
Systems
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Massachusetts medical license
- Current DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Comfortable with inpatient consultation, rounding, and endoscopic procedures
