Skilled Nursing Facility Hospitalist - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Kansas City, MO)

We’re expanding our team in Kansas City to provide patient-centered primary care inside skilled nursing facilities. This full-time role offers a flexible daytime schedule with no overnight or on-call responsibilities. You’ll work alongside physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care to residents and help shape their treatment plans.

Highlights

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling
• Six-hour facility shifts; rounds usually start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
• No call and no overnight shifts
• See an average of 15-20 patients per day
• Perform daily rounds, manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and create individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Maintain clinical and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted U.S. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• NP board certification (ANCC, AANPCB, PNCB, or AACN) or PA certification (NCCPA)
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care
• Comfortable working independently while actively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
