Locum Tenens Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Inpatient Consult Service (Boston, MA)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage for our inpatient Neurology Consult Service in Boston, MA. This full-time opportunity follows a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends - ideal for clinicians seeking reliable hours and strong work-life balance.

Schedule & compensation

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• No nights or weekends
• Compensation: $120 per hour

Key responsibilities

• Perform inpatient neurology consultations and comprehensive neurological assessments
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists and the multidisciplinary care team
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and imaging
• Monitor patient progress and revise treatment plans as indicated
• Provide patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and team-based care initiatives

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
• Current Massachusetts NP or PA license, as applicable
• Current national certification relevant to the provider’s discipline
• 1-2 years of neurology or related clinical experience preferred
• Strong neurological exam skills, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities
